The One-Room Schoolhouse

There are 237 one-room (more accurately, one-teacher)  schoolhouses in the U.S. Sue Shellenberger of The Wall Street Journal reports how these small schools in remote places rely on the volunteerism and involvement of not just parents, but the entire community.
